As his ideas - which lets face it were poor scholarship - brought UCL into disrepute by association. If he’d worked in my ‘eggs over easy breakfast bar’ he’d have experienced the exact same outcome.

Contrary to the accepted wisdom here though, I do think you have conducted a witch hunt. It would have been far more to the point to take the idiot on face to face, rather than going for him by back door methods. That is cheep, and nasty.

And it doesn’t leave a particularily pleasant taste in the mouth. What we have seen is the hive mind in full aggressive mode, and it is deadly.
