Blair is the archetypal Walter Mitty of politics. Unlike Thurber's original, he convinces others that he is indeed the omniscient miracle-worker he sees himself as being. Otherwise, why are all these powerful fat cats queuing up to offer him lucrative and prestigious jobs? Oh - silly me!
