Northern Rock would be worthless. ~ Dave Osler

Apart from a quite enormous collection of debtors and assets.

It has wrecked manufacturing industry ~ Dave Osler

The sheer front of this statement is astonishing. Surely it is the globalised nature of manufacturing, and the cost of production - thanks to greater worker rights, rewards, & state taxes, that has led to our "wrecked manufacturing industry".

Are you suggesting that we subsidise uncompetitive manufacturing?

PS. The workers at Nissan, Honda, and Toyota plants thank you for your support.

It has wrecked manufacturing industry

Aren't we producing more stuff than ever before? Just sufficiently more efficiently that we don't need millions of people to do dirty, dangerous work to accomplish that output. How is that wrecking the industry, exactly?
